CM-CISM Team Goals

Goal:

It is the goal of the CM-CISM Team to mitigate the impact of the critical incident on those involved in providing emergency services during a critical stress incident or if the emergency personnel themselves were victims of a stressful incident.

Objectives:

Provide education about the impact of stress to our fellow emergency service providers.

Provide educational opportunities to the community at large about the potential impact of stressful incidents upon those whom they depend on for provision of emergency services.

To improve awareness of the CISM availability in our emergency service area.

To incorporate the activation of the CM-CISM team into all local, state and regional emergency response plans.

To coordinate and act a referral source to the community for CISM services in the event of a catastrophic disaster.
