CM-CISM Team Mission Statement

The mission of the CM-CISM team is to provide access to critical incident stress management to all emergency service personnel.

Critical incident stress management is a psychological and educational process designed to reduce and control the impact of critical incidents on emergency service providers of all services including fire service, law enforcement, emergency medical services, telecommunication personnel, and hospital emergency department personnel.

Specifically, the CISM team is designed to encourage emotional ventilation explore personal impact of critical incidents, offer personal and group support to emergency service personnel, as well as offering pre-incident education and awareness.
